Day 1: Yangon Arrival
Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, meet and greet by our representative. Transfer to hotel. An afternoon sightseeing tour includes the old colonial-style city center with the Sule Pagoda, tranquil Kandawgyi Lake with the Karaweik Hall, a royal floating barge, an ideal spot to take pictures of that beautiful lake with its shores lined with gardens and trees. An extended visit to Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the world’s most spectacular religious monuments, will conclude the tour of this picturesque Garden City. The golden dome of the Shwedagon Pagoda rises 98 meters above its base and is covered with 60 tons of pure gold. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 2: Yangon - Bagan (B)
Transfer to Yangon Airport for domestic flight to Ancient capital Bagan. Upon arrival in Bagan, transfer to hotel and sightseeing starting with the busy local market. Continue visits to a diverse selection of the most important pagodas and temples such as Shwezigon Pagoda, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century, Gu Byauk Gyi, a temple with exquisite murals of Jataka scenes, Khay Min Ga Temple, noted for its spectacular panoramic view of the area’s many monuments and Ananda Temple with four huge standing Buddha images and numerous seated figures in niches around the galleried interior.
Afternnon, a visit of a lacquer craftmen’s workshop in nearby Myinkaba village and sightseeing to Manuha Temple, built in Mon style in 1059, Nanbaya Temple, a unique sandstone monument, said to have been the palace of King Manuha and Myingaba Gu Byaukgyi Temple, noted for its ancient mural painting. Board a small local boat in the late afternoon for a sunset cruise on the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River(or) Sunset on the one of the ancient temple. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 3: Bagan – Heho-Pindaya-Inle Lake (B)
Transfer to Nyaung Oo (Bagan) Airport for domestic flight to Heho. Upon arrival in Heho, proceed by road to Pindaya (95 km - 2 ½ hours) to visit Pindaya Caves, unique for the thousands of Buddha images placed there by pilgrims over many centuries. Afternoon, drive by road to Inle Lake (60 km - 1 ½ hour). Transfer by boat to the hotel on the lake. Overnight on Inle Lake.
Day 4: Inle Lake (B)
An excursion by boat on the scenic Inle Lake will include sights of the famous leg-rowers, typical floating gardens, local methods of fishing and village life. Further visits are made to Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, the weaving village of Inpawkhon and other sights. Overnight on the lake.
Day 5: Inle Lake – Heho - Yangon (B)
Morning visit to a colorful market in the Inle Lake region, then proceed to Heho Airport. Return flight to Yangon. Our car and guide will be at clients’ disposal for further sightseeing or shopping, opportunity to visit Bogyoke (Scott’s) Market, until departure by international flight in the evening.
