Laos Southern/Luang Prabang/Vientiane/Pakes ? Khong Island/Tat Lo

Day 1: Arrive Luang Prabang (L/D)                                                                                                                         
Arrive Luang Prabang from Bangkok, meet Local English speaking guide, then transfer to hotel. After lunch at Pakhouei Mixay, then visit Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai. Climb up the Phousi Hill for panoramic view of Luang Prabang and enjoy sunset view on the hill. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at hotel in Luang Prabang.

Day 2:  Luang Prabang – City tour (B/L/D)                                                                                                           
Breakfast at hotel. The day will be spent sightseeing the city’s oldest temples: Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong with roofs sweeping low to the ground. Embark on the cruise upstream on theMekongRiver to Pak Ou Caves, via Ban Xang Hai village to observe the process of making rice wine. After lunch at Pak Ou Restaurant, then return to Luang Prabang. On the way back visit the pottery villages Ban Chan. Late afternoon, take a short drive to Bang Xang Khong and Ban Xienglek, villages well known for its hand made Sar paper. Dinner at Tamnak Lao restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Luang Prabang.

Day 3:  Luang Prabang – Kuangsi (B/L/D)                                                                                                            
Wake up early to participate in daily early morning ritual offering food to the monk. After breakfast at hotel, then visit the colorful Dala Market full of fresh vegetable and variety of local produce displayed along the walkway. Drive to Kuangsi Waterfall where you can swim or walk along the forest paths with picnic lunch box. Back to Luang Prabang and visit hand weaving village (Ban Phamon ). Dinner at Visoun restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Luang Prabang.

Day 4:  Luang Prabang – Vientiane (B/L/D)                                                                                                         
Breakfast at hotel. Morning tour to National Museum which is also the former Royal Palace. This museum displays a large collection of artifacts that reflect the richness of Lao culture, shopping at souvenir shop and Hmong market. After lunch at Mixay Phonh Restaurant, then transfer to airport for afternoon flight to Vientiane. Upon arrival to Vientiane, proceed to Buddha Park, a display of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures created by mystical monk on parkland on the bank of Mekong River. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at hotel in Vientiane.

Day 5:  Vientiane – City tour (B/L/D)                                                                                                                      
Breakfast at hotel. The day will be spent visiting the town of Vientiane, Wat Sisaket with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo. Visit That Luang Stupa and Patuxai Monument known as Vientiane’s Arc de Triumph. After lunch at Kua Lao restaurant, then explore Vientiane by walking, visit Wat Ong Tue, Inpeng and Haisok. Carol Cassidy Studio for textile collection and pass by the major shopping areas continuing to Talad Sao. Enjoy sunset by the Mekong riverside. Dinner at Tamnak Lao. Overnight hotel in Vientiane.

Day 6:  Vientiane – Pakes – Khong Island (B/L/D)                                                                                            
Breakfast at hotel, then transfer to airport for morning flight to Pakse. Arrive Pakse and continue by road head south to Champasak and visit the ruins Wat Phu, a sanctuary of the Khmer Empire between 9-13^th centuries and other Khmer temple nearby. After lunch at local restaurant, then continue by traditional slow boat to Khong Island. Arrive Khong Island, then transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Khong Island.

Day 7:  Khong Island (B/L/D)                                                                                                                                    
Breakfast at hotel, then enjoy cruising into the wildest reach of the Mekong River. In dry season, thousands of islets will appear therefore name as Si Phan Done. Along the way, stop at Liphi waterfalls and fisherman village of Ban Khone. Take a short drive to Laos - Cambodia border of Vernt Kham to see one of the wildest waterfalls in Asia, Khone Phapheng. After lunch at local restaurant, return to Khong Island. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Khong Island.

Day 8:  Khong Island – Tat Lo - Pakse (B/L/D)                                                                                                    
Breakfast at hotel, then Journey to Tat Lo, through Boloven plateau, famous for tea and coffee plantation and other lushly green vegetation. Explore the beautiful part of the plateau and visit hill tribe villages of Katu, Alack and Nge minority hill tribe. After lunch at local restaurant, return to Pakse. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Pakse.

Day 9:  Depart from Pakse (B)                                                                                                                                   
Breakfast at hotel. A chance to leisure Pakse town on your own or free time at leisure until transfer to airport for departure flight. End of services.
