The Endless of Khmer Empire   (Cambodia)

Siem Reap/Preah Vihear City/Bakan Temple/Koh Ker

Day 1: SIEM REAP – PREAH VIHEAR (L-D)

Departure in early morning by road to kampong Thom province (146 Km) with 2-3 hours drive. There, you will discover Preah Khan or Bakan temple which was built on a plain that was a former devotion place during the reign of King Suryavarman I (AD 1002-1050).

Enjoy your lunch along the way and then continue by road to Tbeng Mean Chey, the town of Preah Vihear province.   Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at Hotel in Preah Vihear.

 

Day 2: PREAH VIHEAR- SIEM REAP (B-L-D)                          

After breakfast , departure from Tbeng Mean Chey through villages and landscape to visit Koh Ker temple, the capital of the Khmer empire between 928 and 944 under king Jayavarman IV and his son Hasavarman II.  We will spend around 2-3 hours for the visit.

Enjoy your lunch at local restaurant then travel by road to discover Beng Mealea temple, built in middle of the 12th century, constructed in a distinctly Angkor Wat style under the same king that built Angkor Wat (King Surya Varman II) and dedicated to Hinduism.
